My son loves his new guitar. Quality is excellent for the price, and the sound is organic. We picked it up through an Amazon lightning deal which made it impossible to beat for the price.
Very Nice Guitar

I am a somewhat new guitar player and this is my second guitar that I have owned. My previous was a Fender and so far this guitar outshines my old one in every aspect. I love the four extra frets that this guitar has compared to my Fender.

Guitar came with the low E string buzzing and the high E string buzzing on select frets. Other than that I am very satisfied with this purchase. I have now switched my loyalty from Fender to Schecter.

The Schecter C1-FR is an amazing guitar as well as an amazing deal. I was so excited when it arrived I ripped open the box and played it through a 65 watt Kustom using heavy tones. The guitar has amazing sustain and a great full sound to it and unlike some reviews it does have a great clean tone as far as an active guitar goes. The neck is perfect for shredding as well as sweeping and doing all kinds of insane guitar riffs. The liscensed Floyd Rose is great as well, not many liscensed tremelos are any good, this one given some break in time, works great. However the stock strings should be replaced after opening, my reasoning for this is because barely moving the tremelo on the first day being as careful as I could the bottom E string had slipped out of place secondly, in my opinion, D'Addarios are not good for Floyd Rose (I could be wrong). After replacing the strings with a light gauge set of ghs boomers I was back in buisness. And I might add that if your a metal player such as i, you do yourself good to give time for your tensioning springs in the back break in before you attempt to do Dimebag squeals or hardcore bar dumps (this is with any new guitar). This is my first brand new guitar and suggest to anyone thinking about buying this guitar that you take very good care of it because its worth every d*mn penny you pay for it. Awesome guitar.
Great guitar (casual player review)

Reviewer: E.L.,
I'm publishing the same review I wrote for the black version of this guitar. I got the black, kid got the white. Same guitar, different color.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I've been playing guitar very (very) casually for a few years. I started with an acoustic, took some time off, then got this guitar for Christmas (thanks, wife!). I'm extremely happy with it. I'm using it with a Line6 Spider IV 15 amp (very nice amp for the price, by the way).

We also bought the white version of this for our daughter. Both the black and white look fantastic. The guitar is nicely balanced. As the description says, it has access to the full fret range. The whammy bar is firm and well placed. It also comes with an 8 foot cable for plugging in to an amp and several different sized Allen wrenches for adjusting various bits.

Major tuning is done by loosening (with the wrenches) some string clips (for lack of a better word) at the end of the neck near the tuning knobs. Then, you turn the knobs and tighten the knobs. Daily fine tuning (humidity, string aging, etc) can be done by turning small screws at the other end of the strings. The guitar can be just as easily played with a pick or fingers. I haven't tried a slide, but I don't see how it would be a problem.

Sorry if this review seems rather pedestrian, but as I said, I'm a very casual player and this is the first electric I've owned.

I can't really say enough good things about this guitar, especially at the price. Sounds great, easy to use/tune, whammy, comes with a cable, looks fantastic!

Note: Does NOT come with: picks, case, stand, amp, strap. Just sayin'.
